Who we are
A husband-and-wife team, two markets
Nashville Home Pros Magazine is proudly owned and operated by Terry and Kristin McCarthy, a husband-and-wife team with a long history of connecting homeowners with trusted local home service professionals.
Together they own and operate multiple businesses in the Nashville and St. Louis areas — all dedicated to one core purpose: helping consumers discover reputable, high-quality companies they can count on for their home improvement and maintenance needs.
With years of experience in both print and digital advertising, the mission is simple: create powerful connections between local businesses and the homeowners they serve. Each issue is carefully curated to showcase the best contractors, service providers and home specialists in the area, making it easy for residents to find the right professionals for any project.
We are passionate about supporting local businesses and strengthening the communities we call home — one home service connection at a time.

What we do
The bridge between the two sides
Nashville Home Pros serves as the bridge between homeowners and the right professionals for the job. Whether you need plumbing, electrical work, remodelling or complete construction, we match your needs with proven specialists who deliver exceptional results — on time and within budget.
The process is simple: tell us what you need, and we connect you with experienced professionals who have been vetted for quality, reliability and customer satisfaction. We take the guesswork out of home improvement so you can focus on enjoying the results.
Why start here
- 100% local. Every company in the magazine works in Middle Tennessee. No national call centres, no lead brokers reselling your details.
- Vetted before they print. Advertisers are reviewed for licensing, insurance and customer reputation before they are accepted into an issue.
- No-obligation bids. Estimates are free and carry no commitment. Take all three, take one, or take none.
- Zero searching. One form instead of an afternoon of review sites, and the shortlist comes back to you.
Editorial standards
What gets a company into the magazine
Being accepted into an issue is not the same as buying an ad slot. This is what we check before a page runs.
01
Licensing
Current Tennessee licensing appropriate to the trade and the size of work the company takes on.
02
Insurance
General liability, and workers' compensation where the company carries employees on site.
03
Local track record
Real operating history in Middle Tennessee. Storm-chasing crews and out-of-state pop-ups do not get a page.
04
Reputation
Public review history and complaint patterns. Advertisers who generate complaints are not renewed.
Answers
About the publisher
Who owns Nashville Home Pros Magazine?
Terry and Kristin McCarthy, a husband-and-wife team who own and operate multiple businesses across the Nashville and St. Louis areas, all built around the same purpose: helping homeowners find reputable companies they can count on.
How does Nashville Home Pros make money?
Contractors pay to advertise in the magazine. Homeowners pay nothing — not for the magazine, not for matching, not for estimates. That is also why the advertiser list is deliberately short: the magazine only works if readers trust what is inside it.
How are advertisers vetted?
Before a company is accepted we review its licensing and insurance status, how long it has operated in Middle Tennessee, and its public review history. Companies that generate complaints do not get renewed at the end of their contract.
How long has the magazine been publishing?
Terry and Kristin have years of experience in both print and digital advertising and operate similar publications in more than one market. Nashville Home Pros currently publishes 10 issues a year into 180,000 Middle Tennessee homes.
Do you work with contractors outside the magazine?
No. Estimate requests route only to companies that hold a category in the relevant zone. If we do not have a company covering your project, we will tell you rather than hand you to a stranger.
Both sides welcome
Homeowner or contractor?
Homeowners get up to three free estimates. Contractors get a category, a page, and the leads that come with it.
