One company from each edition, the whole story

In the magazine a company gets its page. Here the cover company of each edition gets the rest: who runs it, the work it takes on, the towns it names and how to reach it, with every fact linked to where it came from.

How it’s written

What a Spotlight is, and what it isn’t

  1. From the record. The company’s own pages and public records such as the Better Business Bureau, each one linked beside the fact it supports.
  2. Said plainly. Every Spotlight company advertises in the magazine, and its page says so. It is a profile, not a review or a ranking.
  3. Their pictures. A photograph on a Spotlight is the company’s own work, from its website or its Business Profile and credited on the picture, never a stock or generated image.

Q & A

About the Spotlight

How a company gets one, and how to read it.

How does a company get into the Pro Spotlight?

Ask Terry McCarthy at (615) 551-5184. The Spotlight features one advertiser from each edition, and the first two were the September 2026 cover companies: LawnValue on the South / West edition and Three Stone on the North / East.

Is the Pro Spotlight an ad?

The company in it advertises in the magazine, and we say so on the page. The write-up itself sticks to what can be checked, such as who runs the company, what it does, where it works and how to reach it, with each fact linked to where it came from.

Why read a Spotlight before hiring a contractor?

Because it puts the basics in one place: the owners’ names, how long they’ve been at it, the work they take on and the towns they name, sources linked. It is a start for the first call, not a substitute for a written estimate and a look at recent reviews.

Who was the first Pro Spotlight?

LawnValue, a Franklin lawn, landscape, hardscape and irrigation company started in 2019 by Dave Kmita and Todd Baker. It had the front cover of the South / West edition in September 2026 and three headings in that month’s North / East directory.
