Advertising in Nashville Home Pros: sizes, zones and deadlines

Pick a size, pick a zone, give the magazine the idea and approve the design. The November / December issue closes for creative on October 26 and lands in homes around November 16.

The sizes

Four places on the page, drawn to scale

Every size runs in the edition of your choice — South / West, North / East, or both — for the issues in your annual contract. Rates are quoted by Terry for the plan you build; the magazine doesn’t publish a rate card.

Cover Positions

Front or back cover

The first thing seen at the mailbox, and the last.

  • Pop-Out Inserts

Detachable inserts for coupons, offers or a product — one per magazine.

  • Bookmark Inserts

Placed inside the magazine and kept, so the name stays in the house longer.

  • Half Price Postcards

    A 6″ × 11″ or 5″ × 8.25″ postcard mailed on its own, apart from the magazine.

The rule that keeps the page clear

Two advertisers per category, per zone

The magazine caps every trade. A roofer in the South / West edition shares the category with one other roofer at most, and the North / East edition has its own two. There is no third.

The spots are held for the length of each advertiser’s annual contract. That is the part to take seriously: once a competitor holds a spot, the next company in that trade waits until the contract runs out.

So the first question on the first call is not the size. It’s whether there is still room in your trade on your side of town. The trades page shows who held each heading in the September 2026 directory, and the reasoning behind the cap is in our feature on exclusivity.

The owner’s five steps

From the first call to the mailbox

The magazine designs your ad. You bring the idea, you approve what comes back, and the invoice for each issue is paid before that issue mails. The five steps are on the advertising page.

Work with our team to figure out the ideal ad plan that fits within your budget and then sign a contract.

Deadlines

Creative is due three weeks before each mail date

That is the printed rule on the zone map, and it applies to the idea as much as the finished file: the design and your approval both have to fit inside those three weeks.

Ten issues a year means ten deadlines, one for each month from February to November. Nothing mails in December or January, so the first 2027 deadline falls in January, three weeks before the February 10–12 mailing.

If a deadline is days away, call rather than fill in the form: (615) 551-5184.

Beyond the page

Inserts and postcards

Three extras sit alongside the printed ad. A pop-out insert is a detachable piece bound into the magazine — the place for a coupon or an offer — and only one runs per magazine. A bookmark insert is made to be kept; the magazine describes it as a custom insert that “stays in homes longer.”

Half-price postcards mail separately from the magazine, at 6″ × 11″ or 5″ × 8.25″, for a second touch to the same homes between issues.

Q & A

Advertising questions

How much does it cost to advertise in Nashville Home Pros?

Rates are not published: Terry builds a plan around the size, the zone and your budget and quotes it on a call at (615) 551-5184. Sizes run from a quarter page up to the covers, and contracts are annual.

How much does a full page magazine ad cost?

A full page in Nashville Home Pros is 8.5 by 11 inches and is quoted with the rest of your plan: which zone, how many of the ten issues, and whether you add an insert or postcards. The magazine does not publish a rate card; call Terry for the numbers.

Do I have to design my own ad?

No. You give the magazine an idea of what you want the ad to say and show, the team designs it, and you review and approve it before it runs. Creative is due three weeks before the issue’s mail date.

What ad sizes does the magazine offer?

Four print sizes: a quarter page (4.25 by 5.5 inches), a half page (8.5 by 5.5, horizontal or vertical), a full page (8.5 by 11) and the front or back cover. Pop-out inserts, bookmark inserts and half-price postcards can be added.

When is ad creative due?

Three weeks before each mail date. For the first 2027 issue, which mails February 10–12, that means the artwork or your idea for it is due around January 20, so the design can be approved in time.
